I remember

January 30, 2014

Dear Theresa - I remember when I visited Barb when you lived with her in Newport Coast.  You two were the cutest roommates and when you came home from a lunch date in your summer dress laughing and so happy it was like a light walked into the room and just filled us with joy.  You were so cute and sexy that day I thought to myself "I want to be Theresa" when I'm her age!  I hope you are happy and enjoying your new life.  Love Kathy Payne

Mom's Bracelet

November 5, 2013

This was a mother's day gift to our Mom.  It has the names of all her
six (6) children on it.  She loved it.  It was too heavy on her little wrists as
she got older, but she always kept it near her.  It is my loving honor to be the
keeper of her bracelet.  It sits near me now so I have my family around me too.
I miss her, especially before it all got so crazy.  Rest now, momma.

Mom & Dad

October 25, 2013

Thanks for remembering a loving moment in my Mom's life, Dottie.
We adult kids sometimes forget that there was a time before the War destroyed my father's hope.  Mom always said that her young husband was never the man that
left for that war (Korean).  He returned as Mom had given birth to their first baby, my brother, Eric.  We all know the hardships but my mother held as much grace
during her time here as anyone could.  I often reflect on her achievements at a time in our history when women struggled hard to work and care for their family.
She was certainly a professional pioneer.

One last thing, Mom was a beautiful until the end, when pain had taken its toll and her mind lost some of the clarity she had always had.  Rest in Peace, Mom.  Love is everywhere for you.  Until I write again......barbie

love letters

October 22, 2013
I remember sitting on a bed listening to Auntie read a letter from her husband, who was over seas during the Korean War. She read a few lines and told me the rest was private. She looked so happy reading that letter. I loved her dearly.
