He felt such a strong guilt, he didn't think that Pran would forgive him for leaving him in such a terrible condition. When Schanberg flew to Thailand to meet up with Dith at the refugee camp, he says, "You forgive me?" Pran replies, "Nothing to forgive, Sydney. Nothing."
