Let me come in where you are weeping, friend,
And let me take your hand.
I, who have known a sorrow such as yours,
Can understand.
Let me come in - I would be very still
Beside you in your grief;
I would not bid you cease your weeping, friend,
Tears bring relief.
Let me come in - I would only breath a prayer,
And hold your hand,
For I have known a sorrow such as yours,
And understand.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want,
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name' sake.
Though I walk through the valley of the
Shadow of death, I fear no evil;
For Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou dost prepare a table before me
In the presence of my enemies;
Thou hast annointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness & loving kindness will follow me
All the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

my mother-in-law

   ពេលទៅធ្វេីអោយ កូន ចៅ នឹក កាលរស់នៅល្ងាចព្រឹក កូន ចៅស្រលាញ់ !

When she goes, she leaves us missing her. When she was living night and day, we love her dearly.

And we will always.

My Grandmother

January 12, 2015

For the first half of my life, which was spent in Cambodia, I've  only met her once, and I was very young at the time so I didn't remember much about the encounter.

When my family and I moved to the u.s, she, along with grandpa and my uncle's family came to visit. She and grandpa stayed with us for a period of time and  it  was during this time that I came to know her better. She was caring and full of life, she was never short of a wisdom to be taught.

The third and last time I see her face to face was when I visited Alabama for the first time, like always, she was caring and sweet. Though that was the last time we saw one another face to face, we talked  on the phone once in a while, she would always ask how I was doing in school and what my plans were. She asked about my health and my family's well being. And she never forget to give me advice on life, no matter how small.

Though I didn't spend much time with her, or how much I wish to, I'm proud to have her in my life, no matter how short.

She was kind and loving , and will always be missed.

My Mother

January 12, 2015

My mother: A caring, concerned, supportive, and respectable wife, mother, grandmother,, great grandmother, and friend.

Her impact on others was incomprehensible whether she was in Cambodia, America, or even a refugee camp.  From the respect she was given from just owning a general store due not  to the money she possessed but to her ability to understand and help others, and to her ability to lead her family affected by war to a new life of independence.

Her love and sacrifices know no bounds.  She would continually take care of her husband who had more health issue than she had.  She set aside her own problems to focus on his.  Even during her time in the hospital, she was still solely concerned on her husband.  Not only her husband, but everyone in her family was a part of her concern and care.

Even in her last breath, she never stopped caring, loving, sacrificing.  Although, this may seem like the end, this is just a new beginning for her.  Her time with the lord has come and as our days pass we'll always know that she is there watching over and protecting us.
