Thomas Allen Hite, 70, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at his home.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Greely Allen “Matt” Hite. He was a member of West Oxford Baptist Church, served in the US Army in the Korean War, and was a machine tech by trade.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 21, 2014 at West Oxford Baptist Church by the Rev. Wes Garner. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving are his mother, Evelyn Dickerson Evans, sisters; Denise Hite and Christine Hite both of Oxford and Lori W. Hawkins (Keith) of Whitsett, a brother, Waverly Hite (Kim) of Oxford, a special friend, Linda Hobgood of Oxford, and two nephews and one niece.
Visitation will be held Friday morning, November 21, 2014 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at West Oxford Baptist Church and at other times the home of Evelyn Evans.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to West Oxford Baptist Church.
