Our baby boy was born on March 30, 1974, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. His birth was not easy and he struggled for 18 hours because of his size to enter this world. My doctor said if he would have had one more hair on his head he would had to have been delivered by a C-section. He weighed 8 lbs, 08 oz. and was 20 inches tall. Time of arrival was 8:08 p.m. exactly the same as his weight, making his birth somewhat of a phenomenon. His Dad named him Thomas Dean DeWolf after himself and a close friend of his named Dean. He had lots of black hair and chubby cheeks. He looked like a boxer in his newborn picture with his hands closed in a fist and held up to his face. My Dad called him "Rocky." 

And so his life began . . .
