His Life
May 18, 2015

He confessed Christ at an early age and was very active in various auxiliaries throughout his life. He joined the United States Armed Forces until retirement and during his time in service he was awarded the Purple Heart. He also worked for the Bullock County Commission for many years until he retired.

DeWitt, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was the fourth child of Feagin and Cora Faniel, both preceding him in death. His son, Mangeno D. Hall; siblings Mozell Jones, Mynelle Bethune, Major C. and Charles L. Faniel preceded him in death.

During his 89 years he lived a fruitful life. These are the fruits
of Thomas DeWitt Faniel: Thomas T. Faniel (Grace), Frances
Dixon, Darryl T. Hall, Daphne Nicks, Charles W., and
DeAngelia Faniel; seventeen grandchildren, nine great
grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Diane; numerous
nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends,
Annie Gosha, Ella Hall, Albert Perry, Billie Joe Davis, Gennie
Davis, Mike Parham and Millard Peebles.
