Happy Heavenly Birthday Dad. We miss you so much and the many talks that we use to have under your favorite tree. Many times I look over at that tree when I'm driving along, I remember seeing you in the garden picking tomatoes and lettuce.

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous: yea, our God is merciful. PSALM 116:5

Grandpa,
Can't believe today is the anniversary of your passing but you are in my thoughts and remembering you always. Much as happen since you have passed but I still remember you and the happiness you brought my life. I remember the smell of your tobacco pipe and the hat you would wear that sat tilted on your head. These memories I will hold for ever and tell my children about you and for these reasons you and your spirit will be with us always. I miss and love you always.

Love, Katina or what you always called me "Ma". (smile)

I'm thinking of you Grandpa today and like so many other days. You have left a footprint among us all. I still can see you smoking your pipe and boy how I love the smell of that pipe. I look at those old pictures of you and say "What a handsome man you were". I miss you truly and will always remember you and how you would call me "Ma". Love your grandaughter, Katina

Spare Change for Candy

August 2, 2013

Candy, boy I loved candy as a little girl.  I remember when I would see you, you would always give me and the grandkids the spare change in your pocket.  I would go right to Hardesty Store and buy candy. It was 5 cent candy then and not the "penny candy" that my mom would talk about that they brought as kids.  It's funny how you remember the smallest and simplest things as a kid.

I remember the spare change that you would dig into you pockets and give to me and that made me so happy!  I miss you and may you rest in peace.

Love,

Katina

MY SWEET FATHER

October 9, 2011

DAD, WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL ATTENDING SCHOOL IT WAS YOU WHO GAVE ME A DOLLAR OR TWO DOLLARS TO GO ON A CLASS TRIP.IT MEANT SO MUCH TO ME BECAUSE THAT DOLLAR FELT LIKE A MILLION DOLLARS BECAUSE IT WAS ALL THAT YOU HAD AND YOU GAVE IT TO ME FROM YOUR HEART. THE LESSON THAT I LEARNED FROM YOU IS THAT ONE MUST LEARN HOW TO MAKE MONEY WORK FOR THEM NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU HAVE OR DON'T HAVE.I WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND REMEMBER YOU DAD REST IN PEACE WITH GOD FOR NOW.
