Thomas “Tom” Lesley Brogden, 89, a longtime resident Of Durham passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his home.

A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Tom and Beulah Keith Brogden. Tom was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and retired from the City of Durham.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 14, 2017 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dan Hill. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Cora Hicks Brogden of the home; three sisters, Mildred Newcomb, Elizabeth Mitchell of Durham and Delores Harmon of Creedmoor; three brothers, Paul Brogden, Gene Brogden, of Creedmoor and Joe Brogden of Wake Forest. He was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth, Morris, and Elmo Brogden and a sister, Ethel Cruise.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, September 13, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
