|Because we love you.|
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Thomas Wilcox, 57, born on October 20, 1954 and passed away on February 6, 2012. We are together in our love for him.
"Hello Kathy and Wilcox Family,
I learned of Tom's passing belatedly. I am grateful that Kathy did this beautiful website. Tom and I were close growing up in Short Hills, learning to fly together, skiing and motorcycling. I moved to PA and the west but we kept in touch by phone from time to time.My Condolensces"
"Dear Kathy & Family,
Tho I knew Tom for a short time, I do cherish the memories of Tom at class. He was inspiring and he shared his experiences with us. I do feel he is there and observing......miss you !!!"
"This is from both Doug and I ... we met Tom some years ago when he was searching for spiritual meaning and wanted to be with the healing energy of the dolphins. Our pleasure to have him attend several of our dolphin retreats led us to fall in love with Tom and his amazing and positive way of dealing with life's challenges. He is an inspiration to all! We will miss Tom so much."
"I had been getting to know Tom over the last couple of years. Whenever I saw Tom, he was always calm, cool and collected. Nothing ever really seemed to phase him too much. I think he was able to take negativity and see the purpose behind it which redirected his perspective. That is so powerful and such an amazing way to live!"
"Kathy got it right; Tom meant so much to me. I've not had as good or close a friend as Tom was/is to me since childhood.
We would talk at least daily, we still do, just differently."
"Be sure to check out the stories section."
"I met Tom on the phone and through a few readings. He was open, clear and determined to live his life to the fullest. Enjoying what he had left and not focusing on what was leaving. He was a wonderful loving person."
"Tom was a very special Wilcox!! I knew them all, and placed Tommy right where he belong....at the top.....a captain for sure in many ways. He will be remembered as a great person, family man, friend and much more. He continues to make his mark through the heavenly clouds."
"My brother had become my best friend in the past ten years, an extraordinary gift at this stage of life. Tom's pursuit of more, whether at 30,000 feet up or between space-time dimensions, reflected a thirst for life in all its complexities. His passing has taught me (he loved to teach!), that the journey continues--that we truly do create our own reality, and so he can be with me forever."
"Our family will miss Tom so very much....his humor and zest for life. I especially remember meeting Tom at Albany, NY Airport (way back when) and having a cup of coffee before his "turn around"......how many Aunt Marys can say they had a tour of a jet and got to sit in the Captain's seat.....a wonderful brother-in-law, indeed."
"I'm so glad you've done this Kathy. There are many days when I think of Tom and the light and love he shared with so many. He was a very personable and amazing person, always loving, always learning and laughing. And he was like a child in a candy store, really excited about life and continually looking for more expansive adventures."
"If I can dig up some photos I'll post them. Although I didnt get to spend much time with Tom I'll never forget the time when I went flying with him after recently getting my pilots license and having the pleasure of him showing me how to do barrel rolls in a 172 (something you are really not supposed to do in a 172). My sympathy goes out to Thomas, Colin and Ann and all of Tom's family."
"Love this idea mom! Tom was and is so loved by all of us...he is very missed!"
"Dear Family and Friends,
I hope that we can gather here together in cyberspace to find a container for our love for Tom and feel the communal spirit of our connection. Tom meant so much to all of us in such unique ways, and I look forward to hearing the stories that join us one with another through him."
