His Life

Bothers

March 20, 2013

Tim had two older brothers. The oldest one I think is close to 11 yrs older than Tim, that is the brother Tim was closest to. They had more in common than he had with the middle brother.  Tim looked upto his older brother and he wanted the two of us to be close friends because he wanted that brother to look after his daughter. Tim had a hard time telling his family about having a daughter.  Tim's family are very religions, his father and middle brother are Baptist preachers.  Tim was just cut from a different cloth than the rest of his family.  He loved them very much, he was very close to his mother.  He spent a lot of his last days talking about his mother and his father but mostly his Mom.  He told me things I'm sure his brother's would rather me not know because there are things that families just don't talk about to others or each other.  I already knew what Tim was telling me because he had already told me 30 years ago. I think he just wanted to talk about it again.  "Family secrets" but they really weren't secrets at all everyone knew, people in the church and others but no one spoke about it because Tim's father was a preacher. Its kind-of funny how his mother was the church goer when she meet Tim's dad and she wanted him to be a preacher and so he became one.  Tim told me that she was the boss in the family and everyone knew it all but the people in the church, in other words only his Dad and brothers knew who wore the pants in the family. "HA"  She was a lovely lady I just loved her so much and I loved Tim's dad too he was always so good to me. His mother taught me how to cook.

I started this chapter of Tim's life and called it brothers.  The reason for that is even though Tim had two brothers he also had Randy he was more of a brother to him than his blood brothers. He is a year younger than Tim and they meet in college they sometimes would drift apart for years at a time but they always seem to find each other and take up where they left off at.  Tim was the only person I knew that could put up with Randy. "HA"  I'm not even sure if Randy knows just how much Tim loved him.  Tim was always concerned about Randy and wanted him to just be happy with whatever choice he would make in life. He wanted Randy to want the same for him. He wasn't sure if Randy knew that he was finally happy and at peace when he died.  I tried to make Tim believe that Randy was happy with what Tim had chose to do at the end of his life.  I hope he died thinking that was the way Randy felt.  Before Tim and I married and started living together again he and Randy lived and worked at the same place.  Tim was happy living with Randy he would phone me and tell me how they went and watched the football game at a sports bar.  He knew Randy longer than he knew me by a couple of years.  Tim also meet Randy's girl friend, Jackie, they became very good friends and stayed friends even after there were no longer a "Randy and Jackie"  Tim cared a lot about Jackie and things that happened in her life good and bad. Tim could be a loyal friends but to only certain people, oh he liked everyone but only stayed close to the ones that were "real people" the ones that he knew for sure were honestly his friend.  As I wrote he liked everyone he meet and made friends very easy.  Tim was to trusting for his own good.
