Tom and Myra were among the first people I met through Rock Church and they have both always been so kind and welcoming. I will sure miss seeing Tom on Sundays. He was such a shining light for us. I like what Pastor Miles said: To honor Tom, live like him. He lived like Jesus.

Tom, I thank you for your and Myra's friendship and love over the years. I so appreciate and treasure your example of faith, devotion to God and desire and willingness to be the servant that God wants us all to be. You made us all better people and servants by being around you. Your listening ear and reassuring words that all I needed to do was trust and stay close to the Lord and everything would work out has always been a comfort to me. Tom I'm gonna miss our chats and those big hugs and warm smiles that you always left me with. I look forward to the day when we meet again in Heaven and you can show me the ropes my friend. I shall hold you close in my heart until that day comes. Love you bro!!

There are some people you meet in life that you just click with and have an instant connection... Tom was one of those people for me.

I met Tom at The Hartford about 8 yrs ago when I moved to the dept he was in. I needed help with something and asked Tom for help. He couldnt have been nicer and actually reminded me of my own dad that had just passed. (They had the same sense of humor.) Turned out we went to the same church and we were pals from then on.

Tom and Myra both helped me thru a tough trial in my life. They were there praying for me, encouraging me, and making me laugh every step of the way. They helped me thru that dark tunnel to the light at the oth end. They will always have a special place in my heart. Tom you were more than a friend - you treated me like a daughter- and I'm honored to say you were like a dad. I miss u. And will miss seeing you on Sundays and giving you a big hug and telling you I love u. We'll take care of Myra for you. Until we meet again...

Today's tribute was so inspiring. Thank you Tom for shining God's love and walking with grace every day. I had one conversation with Tom but it was so memorable.  I spoke to him after the service when he and his wife were honored as the Rock Heroes. I thanked him for serving God even when it was hard. His hug definitely leaves a lasting impression of God's goodness and kindness. Thank you for inspiring us all.

I miss you doesn't even do justice to the amount of times I think of you during the day. Every time I walk by your cube, I keep hoping and thinking you'll be there. And when you aren't, I look for your phone so I can leave a selfie on your homepage for you to find. LOVE YOU! Can't wait to see you in heaven.

I heard stories of Tom's wonderfulness long before I met him. One of my coworkers and I used to compare stories about our most faithful volunteers and she told me about this guy named Tom Dahl. 

When I first started working with him, he helped me navigate the Hospitality realm before we launched Rock NC. He went above and beyond to help me get everything in place and guide me through how to launch and run that team.

Then, in 2013, we ended up in the same department and I was incredibly blessed to get sit next to him and work with him every day for nearly two years. 

I eventually came to count him among my dearest and most trusted friends. His kindness and generosity to me was a priceless treasure. He showed me by his life what faithfulness looks like. In spite of any trial he faced, in spite of physical pain, he continued to serve God faithtfully and always with a smile and a heart full of grace and joy.

Tom was a magnifiecent reflection of God’s heart and modeled how to love God radically and to serve sacrificially. My life is a better, brighter life because Tom was part of it. I loved him. I miss him. I'm so thankful we will meet again in eternity.

The thing that i will miss the most will be his smile. He would come in every morning, smile and tell me to have a great day. His love for the ministry was impeccable.

I know when i get to heaven, he will be there to greet me with his smile, and his "Hello" shirt =).

You will always have a special place in my heart. I love you and will miss you dearly. But i know that you are in heaven dancing and eating snickers while enjoying a nice cold coke (or diet, depending on how you feel that day).
