Tributes
Leave a tributeShe's our Angel. She was READY to be with Her Lord and watch over her Family!!!
She was also a devout Catholic and back in the day, was also active in her church; she was a lady with a very strong faith.
I remember having a slept over at her house in Livermore, being I was one of Karen's bridesmaid. This was the day before Karen was to marry my brother Tony. Although she had some anxiety the night before, she still managed to be such a kind & hospitable person. She made you feel welcome in her home!
In all the years I've known this lovely woman, it was always her demure that clarified that she's our Mz Daisy. It's the way she presented her self with such poise, her hair always done up & always well dressed with such elegance. She was also a very caring person; whenever we had an opportunity to talk about life (may it be at Michelle's house or at Karen's), she was always an earful. She would then give you words of wisdom. She was very good at this. I will certainly miss those small talks.
Ok Mz Daisy, I am sure you were chauffeured as Jimmy greeted you with opened arms & opened your limo for you. He must of tipped his cap to you & said, "about time!"
It's not good bye but Adios until we meet again! We will do our Fireball "cheers" as we did on your 90th bday! Thanks Juan for that memorial picture you posted on FB!
God bless & we will miss our Angel!

Celebrating Life
Whenever Antoinette and I celebrated a special occassion, whether on a cruise, a family event, Thanksgiving, Christmas or simply at dinner, our drink of choice was Crown Royal and seven up on the rocks.
Once after leaving Acapulco, a few of us gathered at our favorite club and ordered our drink, Nora a long-time family friend joined us. Antoinette was full of energy and after we ordered a second round, we danced before the evening was over. Next day she told me" I slept soundly"
As time went by and whenever we had the excuse to celebrate anything, after offering her a drink she would tell me " Okay I'll have a drink just the way you make it for me" As we raised our glasses she would say "cure me or kill me "
This past Thanksgiving, I had to have a Crown Royal and 7 for both Antoinette and Nora.
I am sure both ladies are having their own celebrations in heaven...salud dear ladies "you did it your way " !

Visit to Portland
Judy's daughter, Lia, was very ill. She really wanted to see her her Grandmother. Granny was feeling pretty good so she and I took a road trip from San Diego first to Modesto to meet up with Judy and so she could rest. The following day the three of us drove to Portland. Lia's wish was granted. She visited with with her grandma, and her daughters, Rasika, Kamala, and Jessica. Four generations! Such a beautiful visit.
