Her Life
January 3, 2015

Twyla Snow Wright was born on January 18, 1963 to Mrs. Arrie “Lucy” Snow in Chambers County, AL. After fighting a long battle with Lupus, she departed this life on Thursday, January 1st 2015 at Lanier Health Services located in Valley, Alabama.

At an early age, Twyla confessed Christ as her personal Savior and joined Pilgrim Baptist Church in Lanett, Alabama where she was very active in the youth department, Red Circle, choir, and usher board.

Twyla was a student of Lanett City School System and was loved by her classmates and teachers. She enjoyed playing softball and was a member of the Golden Rocket and Lanett Softball Teams. Some of her favorite things to do were playing cards especially Spade and spending time with her family.

The love and joy of Twyla’s life were her four children: Robert, her first born, Chantel, her oldest daughter, Richie also known as “Duke,” and her baby girl, Sandricka aka “Drick.” Twyla loved her children, and after high school, she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and later relocated to Ft. Meade, Maryland, and the Richmond Virginia area.

Twyla not only loved her children, but she also had a great passion and love for all children. Thus, it is no surprise that she worked in childcare for over 15 years and was licensed with a home daycare in Maryland. Twyla was also a Mary Kay Consultant and was known by many as their Mary Kay sales representative.

Sister Twyla had an undying love for the Lord, therefore, no matter where she resided, she was active in the church and always willing to serve.

In 1996, Twyla returned home to Chambers County, Alabama and joined Straight Life Ministry/O. H. Ministries, Inc. under the leadership of Pastor Bertha Hicks Hodge. At O. H. Ministries, Twyla was very active in ministry and served as a Sunday School Teacher, Usher, and Armor bearer to her pastor. Twyla loved the Lord, and she was not ashamed to let the world know that she was “Redeemed.” Everyone one knew Sis. Twyla was in church, because you would hear her say “you better preach preacher, say that again, and Amen.” Twyla remained a faithful member of O.H. Ministry until her health began to decline.

In 2002, Twyla united in marriage to Richard Wright, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Willie Gene Lipscomb and the late Mrs. Arrie “Lucy” Snow, one granddaughter: Robyn Snow; two brothers: Arthur Snow and Rodney Snow, three sisters: Carleen Snow-Pitts, Charlotte Snow and Suzanne Snow who transitioned during infancy.
