Mr. Ulysses Arrington, Jr. of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his home. He was 66 years of age and resided at 714 27th Avenue.

Born in Smiths Station, AL on February 21, 1948, Mr. Arrington was the son of the late Ulysses, Sr. and Roberta Jenkins Arrington. A 1968 graduate of South Girard High School, he was a life-long member of the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was an operating room tech at Cobb Memorial Hospital, retiring after 39 years from Columbus Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his son, Torreis Ajene' Arrington, and a brother, Ernest Arrington.

Survivors include: his wife of 41 years, Mrs. Janice "Lou" Chester Arrington; a daughter, Aisha A. Arrington-Denard; three grandsons, Leroy D. White, Chance A. Denard and Caleb D. Denard; three brothers, Curtis Arrington, Henry Arrington, and Eugene Arrington; two sisters, Bertie Foster and Earline Gipson; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Ernestine Mays, Alfred Chester (Barbara), Carolyn Thornton (Elbert), Sandra Kendrick (William), Margaret Ann Fuller, Vanessa Harris (James), Winfred Chester (Alisa), Carrie Lakes Chester and Chae Suk Chester; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
