Born in Chattahoochee County, GA and the daughter of the late Jimmie and Emma Washington Scott, Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Mt. Sinai Primitive Baptist Church. She resided in Boston for over sixty years, retiring after 25 years from the Gillette Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jordan, a grandson, Clifford Scott III, and ten siblings. Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, Clifford, Jr. and Rev. Edie Scott; four grandchildren, Troy DeVoe (Alexis), Clifford DeVoe, Kimmie McElroy, and Stacey Scott; twelve great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews to include a special niece, Lillie Morris; three step-daughters, Rochelle Pugh, Linda Jordan and Sheila Davenport; other relatives and friends.
