I live in doubt every day

Wondering still why you went away

The decision to go was yours to make

The grief and pain seems harder to take

The longer you’re gone, the longer we wait

Until the day we can understand your fate.

No one knows the depth of your pain

No one will hear your voice again.

Telling myself to move on, live life

Telling myself to smile in the face of strife.

The sacrifice we have made, the losing of you

Can never be undone, facing each day the pain is as new

No reason why you went away, still no sign of you,

So, I live in doubt every day.
