I  believe that  this particular  "Vicki" was one of my old friends from  Cinti, OH, when we both attended  "Westwood Primary School" when  she  lived "up the street"  from me (about 4  houses up) on  La Feuille Avenue.  We were friends when we were both about  5, 6,  or  7 years old.   If  this is the correct "Vicki,"  she had a  friendly, courteous manner about her  even when she was  just  7 years old.  Vicki and  I  also  had another thing  in common:   we were both "only"  children,  so I  greatly appreciated  having a  friend  who lived just up the street from me  who  lived  close by and who also attended my Primary School (which was  Kindergarten  through 3rd  grade).  I  can't  remember  when (what year exactly) that Vicki and her family  moved  to Florida (except that it was supposedly because  of  Vicki's  asthma), but  I  never knew of  Vicki having any problems.   My maiden  name was "Hockman,"  but  I don't think that  Vicki and I  would have been in the same photos at school since  Vicki was about 1 or 2  years/grades  ahead of me.  I'm  66 years  old  now (also born in 1950), so possibly  Vicki was just one year ahead of me in school (since I was "held-back" so I was  one of the "oldest" in my  Class, which made me in the High School graduation Class of  1969).  I  still live on the "West Side" of  Cinti  (but in Green Township, near Oak Hills High School),  but I  wanted  Vicki's  children to know that  I,  also,  among many other  folks,  were honored to call "Vicki"  one of my  childhood friends  back during the  mid  1950's.   Please accept my  belated  sympathy  as  I just happened to do a "Google-Search" on  Vicki's  name and found this website.  The  photos posted here  (even though these were photos from her adult-years) look alot like the  childhood-chum that I  knew on  La Feuille Avenue.   Thanks for  posting this  tribute to your dear  Mother and  special  Friend !!

VIcki was the first friend I made after moving to Fl. In 1969. I was 18 years old and very nervous about my first day at Broward Community College. I walked into the campus bathroom and there was Vicki. "Hi" she said, with her sparkly eyes and smile as wide as the Grand Canyon! We introduced ourselves and became fast friends! We went on to FAU and both entered the College of Education and our friendship became deeper.  We had great times together as we prepared for our weddings and often spent weekends going out with our spouses or just visiting at one another's home. We eventually moved further west and didn't see each other as frequently, but Vicki always stayed in touch! On birthdays or holidays I could always count on a call from Vicki! My family adored her and my only regret is that we were out of the country when she passed and I was not able to be at her service. She was truly a special lady! One of the most positive people I have ever met! I will never forget my friend Vicki!
