Hank Williams - If You Love Me

Vince loved life, his family and friends and Country music. He had a smile and a big hello to everyone he met and possibly a story or two.

Vince was born in New Brunswick. As a young man he moved to North Bay in hopes of finding work. He later met and married Helen in October 1966. We had two children David and Shelley. For many years we did allot of camping with Tom and  Madeleine which we all enjoyed. As life goes on, Dave married Nancy and they have four children: Brendan (13), Mathieu (9), Ella (8) and Emily (5). Shelley married Rob Ecker and they have two children: Hannah (5) and Nathan (2). Vince loved his children and grandchildren. He never got to see Nathan but I know that he is watching from above.

He loved swimming in our pool with the kids and Brendan and Mathieu learned to swim I think because of him coaching them.

We went most summers to visit his parents in New Brunawick. When the kids were small, we had the camper on our truck so they slept or played in it for most of the trip. We had an intercom in it so we could talk back and forth.

Once he retired he drove me to work everyday. When we were in the car, he would look at me and say, my good looking wife and if I forgot to put on lipstick, he would say you forgot something. I treasure those words now.

He was always out at the mall in the mornings to have coffee and a chat with whoever was there, and there always was someone he knew because he knew everyone.

Thursdays were his days to do his women's work (his words & his day) He washed the floors, vacuumed & tidied up. Mondays he did laundry and most nights he had dinner ready. Every person who had coffee with Vince knew his routine.  I think everyone in North Bay new and they would all joke about it with him and me sometime.

You are missed so much.

We are so fortunate to have so many good memories.
