Virginia Dare Arnold Cooper, 78, a longtime resident of Wake County passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her home.

A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys Arnold. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from Murdoch Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Cooper.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham.

Surviving is a son, George Edward Cooper (Jeannine) of the home, two sisters. Betty Lou Hicks of Creedmoor and Barbara Davis of Wake Forest, two brothers, Carlton Arnold of Creedmoor and Butch Arnold of Wake Forest and a granddaughter, Bobbie Cooper.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Jenny was a wonderful person and we had happy times together in school. The year we graduated in 1957 we went to Washington D..C. .and I will never forget the fun we had. May another of our class members rest in Gods loving arms.
