Her Life
April 12, 2014

Miss. Hardegree was born in Heard County, Georgia on January 29, 1946, the daughter of the late Alma Luckie Hardegree and James Edward “Jim” Hardegree. Until the onset of her illness she was employed by Wal-Mart of Newnan where she served as a cashier. She was a member of the Westview Christian Church in Newnan, Georgia. Miss. Marie was a delightful, fun loving person who loved people and enjoyed being with and doing for family and friends. She was very artistic, and loved doing beautiful needlework, and lovely flower arrangements. Even though she had no children of her own she took great pleasure in spoiling her nieces and nephews. The joys of her life were her niece and nephew, Elizabeth Arrington and Giles Roberts, whom she helped to raise. She considered them her own grandchildren. She was a loving sister, and aunt. All who knew her were blessed by her life. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Jean Adams (Jimmy); two brothers, Buddy and Danny Hardegree; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews, all of Franklin, Georgia.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Mozelle Phillips, and brother, Cleveland Hardegree.
