In the summer of '73. Momma and I packed up everything we had and decided to move to Colorado Springs, CO to live closer to Lynn and the family.  The "we" in the move also included my cat Riddy. Riddy wasn't really used to driving long ways.. this was a big move for my yowling feline. Mom, who as always had patience of a saint, took it all in stride, or made it look like it. Everything was going well, smoothly, kind of. We had to pull in somewhere along the way to get gas. We had a Datsun 510 fully loaded to the roof, and a cat crammed in there. Shortly before we got to the gas station, we heard a "clunk". didn't think to much of it until mom was out of the car and we discoverd the cat had gotten her head stuck in a pickle jar.. what was Riddy thinking? Well of course I completely freaked out. Mom, not so much. LOL. she tugged and pulled and I think finaly smacked the jar on something. it broke, cat came out without a scratch. Me. I think I needed cpr..... LOL.  Momma fueled up the car and off we went. I'm just glad I couldn't read mom's mind at the time.. I bet Riddy was glad also!!  I love you Momma!!

Well so far it has been a eventful trip, but naturally momma dosent compain. ( LOL Mom cant complain) Mom has been the best passenger of all of us.

After leaving Peoria, with Mark and his chest pains, the truck having issues, me being frusterated and wanting to scream, our MommaBear has been the best.  I know mom would agree that the trip to cali even with all the problems is still better than the trip from colorado to Illnoise, "right Momma"?

Mom and us are so looking forward to being back with family that it is crazy.  I have missed My sister so dang bad, and I promised mom id never be far from Sher again!!  CANT WAIT TO GET THERE!!!!

Oh how i loved my cat.. my sweet demure cat.. until she was in heat.. then she turned into a walking lung.  I had zero tolerance for this cat walking around yowling all day all night long. I have always been one that when its time to sleep... i want to sleep. Mom would shake her head and say poor cat when she would pass the bathroom and Riddy would be under the tap because i was holding a certain area of her there.. mom said cold showers for cat's don't work.. she was right.. so i decided, mom agreed though i don't know why really. lol, to start putting the cat in Mom's car over night. that way we could have blistful sleep. never mind that when mom would have to go to work the next day, she would have cat hair flying all around.. I think i need to apologize to Mom when i see her again. lol. Love you always and forever Mom. oh and say Hi to Riddy for me!! ;-)

Momma was always young in heart.  When i started to date Rick, she was elated!! both mom and mimi adorded him. Rick had just come back from Viet Nam and was coming over to our apt. every day. One day i decided that i was going to go swimming. to bad for Rick that he didn't have any trunks.. I thought i was in the clear... nope. Mom cut Ricks pant legs off, and then SEWED them back on afterwards!! yeah.. I kind of think she was rooting for him to be my hubby. LOL.  Thank you Momma. You were so right! ;-)

One day when driving home to our house in Palmdale California via the interstate Sheree spotted a Chicken wondering around in the road.

  Sheree ( the one who loved ALL animals), started to worry about that crazy hen, and pleaded with mom to pull off the road and rescue it.

  Beleave it or not, mom pulls off the road, gets out of the car and goes after the chicken. (wasn't a easy task)

  After chasing this crazy scared hen mom finally cought it, and put it in the car, needless to say the rest of the ride home was interesting.

  Might also add that life with this hen was quite interesting as im sure Sheree can tell you.

  We love you Momma, you have one huge heart!!

One day in the Beverly Hills apartment that we lived in Mom decided to lay down on the couch for a bit before making dinner.

 After a while when Sheree and I were getting a bit hungry decided to wake mom and tell her it was time to start dinner.  Mom said "I know" and informed us that she wasnt sleeping. ( ya right!!)

I explained to mom that yes she had dozed off, and telling her that sort of made her mad and she said " see.... Im awake im smoking a cig" and she showed us her 2 fingers that would have been holding a cig if in fact she was awake and smoking. LOL

  Mom when she realized what was happening didnt say anything but got up and made us something to eat.

  I will always remember that evening and I will be back with more funny stories about our PRECIOUS Momma

Momma could have a temper.. yep, i know. my sweet wonderful momma could make Lynda and I come to an abrupt halt when her red hair was living up to a red heads image... I don't remember what Lynda and I did one particular day, but Momma got MAD. mad in a big way.  We had been living in a wonderful two story apt. in Beverly Hills, and it had white carpets, which Mom had just had cleaned. Well, whatever she got mad at, had her put down (rather abruptly) a big pot of saucy goulash.. the pot did not go down and stay. no, it went hopping and skidding across the top of the table, came to the edge, and yep, turned over and went PLOP right onto her newly cleaned carpet. Well Lynda and I just froze! we thought, that's it. we are dead meat now.. but, almost in unison, we all started to laugh uncontrollably. Momma was the first to start and then we were laughing right along with her. That forever stayed as a "Momma Moment" one of many that i carry in my heart and puts a smile on my face.  I will always love you my dear sweet Momma. I hope the Lord thinks twice if you set the table. (Just kidding momma!)
