Walter J. Starn was born Oct. 18, 1920, son of Earl and Margie Starn, in Sunnyburn, PA.

Growing up, he worked on a farm and later attended Maryville College. He worked for Sun Shipyard in Chester, PA until the war, at which time he joined the US Navy. After his honorable service and discharge, he was employed with Prudential Insurance Co. for 35 years. He moved to Florida upon retirement. Walter was an avid golfer, playing in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Florida.

He was predeceased by his wife Helen (nee Frank), sisters Pearl Coleman and Alice Lilley, brother Earl Starn, Jr. and parents Margie and Earl Starn. He is survived by his daughter Patricia (Richard) Parker of Mullica Hill, NJ, brother John (Connie) Starn of Airville, PA, sister Goldie Crawford of Red Lion, PA, grandsons Robert and Samuel Mantegna and seven great grandchildren. He will be very sadly missed by his nephew Robert Lilley, daughter Patricia and friend Ilene Burge.
