I did not see uncle John much in his later years, but I always remember how much I loved spending time with him when I was a little kid. He was a gentle soul who seemed to love everyone and he loved to laugh. He was a good man.

It was so wonderful to be able to see you again before you went home to Heaven. As soon as I walked into that hospital room, all of the childhood memories came rushing back at me. We always had so much fun when we all got together. Many, many years had passed and your illness brought us all back together. God uses so many different instances to HIS advantage. You will be missed...<3 Shae

Wally/ John:
You touched my life. You ARE the next door bud that was always there for me. How can I reach out to tell you how much you mean to me? But I need to sit back and realize that, you are still there, driving us down the road of life, and the destination is yet to come.

AJ, I WAS IN YOUR MOM AND DAD'S WEDDING! WE HAD SUCH GOOD TIMES AT THE POOL PARTIES AT THE HOUSE.
SO TERRIBLY SORRY TO HEAR OF JOHN'S PASSING.
HE WAS ONE OF MY ALL-TIME GREAT FRIENDS! SORRY WE LOST CONTACT. I REMEMBER HE TOLD ME BECAUSE OF HIS ASTHMA, IF HE DIDN'T QUIT SMOKING HE WOULDN'T MAKE IT TO 21. GOD BLESS YOU, JOHN HELTON AND YOUR FAMILY

My heart is broken for all of the Helton's and their friends! John was like a father to me! I have some many wonderful memories with him and the entire family! My sister mentioned one in a previous post about four wheeling in a golf cart at the river. That is definitely a good one. But what I will NEVER forget, was his laugh! I can hear it now...makes me smile!

John, you will be missed... as I recall all the times we spent together, I have to laugh at those times because we had such fun. Even as we spoke in the hospital you would smile. I recall the river, Bunco, parties, holidays and family get togethers. Alot of joking, laughing and good times. and you will be missed alot. You are with God now and at peace.

You will never know how much I loved you. You were such a great brother to me, kind, sweet, understanding. I'm so grateful I got to spend time with you in the hospital. Shared memories, even a little laughter (and you were so sick) Knowing that today you are in heaven with our parents is such a blessing. Memories forever..Love Di

Grandpa was a "Grandpa" to everyone. His smile is contagious. His family is incredibly blessed to call him their own & incredibly kind to share him with so many others. I wish his time here had been longer, but I would like to believe he lived his life to the fullest with his family. You will be missed & not forgotten my friend.

My fondest memories of your Dad was when he was here in Phoenix. He would always help my Mom when she needed assistance with handyman items etc. He was always willing to help her out and crack a joke or two to brighten her day. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a kind, loving father. I know that he will be missed.
