Walter Leroy Diggs ,69, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his home.
A native of Somerset, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Robert Henry Diggs. Walter was of the Baptist faith and was a carpenter for many years and a service technician for Oakwood Mobile Homes. He served his Country in the Vietnam War.
Family and friends will gather at 8089 Crawford Currin Road on Thursday, evening November 9th, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Surviving are his Mother, Bertha Diggs; a sister, Charlotte Ward and a brother, Bobby Diggs; step-sons, Bradley Matthews (Stephanie) and Paul Matthews (Angela). He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce “Pete” Diggs and a brother, William Diggs.
