Cookie

February 22, 2012

On the morning of February 7, 2012, Wanda Belinda Bryant "Cookie" as she was affectionately known, was called home to be with the Lord.

Wanda was born on April 6, 1952 in New York City to Jeanette Trotman and Richard Stevens. The third eldest of eight siblings, she was also adopted into the Campbell family by Gloria and Stanley Campbell. Blessed by the love of both families, she loved them all deeply and truthfully. She was a loyal and dedicated wife to her husband Henry Bryant, Jr. with whom she happily spent over twenty years of her life. A devoted confidant to Mitzi Campbell-Moreira, and Shante' Bell.

Wanda was passionate about life, family, fashion and helping others. Filled with wisdom and knowledge she was the person to go to if you needed to know someone or something. A strong independent fashionista, she was known for her impeccable taste and ability to tell it like it is! No matter the situation if it was within her power to offer assistance she would gladly do so. A proud grandmother she enjoyed the company of her grand and great grand-children. Her love for children was well known as she lovingly accepted other children in the community into her family.

Filled with compassion she did not allow anyone to be treated unjustly in her presence and would willingly come to the aide of the defenseless.

As a Disciple of Christ she read the scriptures daily. Her love for and faith in God lead her to give testimony wherever she went about the blessings that God bestowed on her and her family.
