Wandas Journey

Wanda Faye Plumlee was born on June 20, 1947 to Woodrow Wilson and Nellie Mae King in Boerne, Texas. She grew up in San Antonio. She played the violin in High School and was very involved in school activities.

She married and had one daughter on March 10, 1977. She was a mother above all things, participating in all sporting and extra-cirricular activities. She was know as the mom who took all the girls where they wanted to go but, she always went one step futher and stayed to insure we were always safe. She was always there to lend a listening ear with no judgement. She began a civil service career and also pursued her lifelong dream of attaining a degree. Suring her education journey, she had 2 grandsons, Kavan Ply & Brett Walton. She met her goal and graduated with her Bachelors of Science and Technology with honors and became a member on the Honor Society. She continued advancing in her career at GSA (Government Service Agency). At the time of her retirement, she was a GS-13 Computer Programmer/Analyst for the Federal goverment. She maintained a 26 year relationship with the love of her life, Walter Taylor, who was with her up to her last minute. She adored his daughter, Heidi Taylor and grandson, Spencer Taylor and thought of them as her own.

She was diagnosed with amyloidosis and then, multiple myeloma. She was a brave and selfless woman who chose to live each moment as a gift. She was a gift from God to all who were graced with her presence. She continues her journey in heaven and will always be the wind beneath our wings.

You will ALWAYS be missed and loved!! We love you Wanda Lou Bob!!!
