A true lady!

January 19, 2011

Wanda, you were a gracious, competent and effective leader for us in Pacific Area as our area director and have been missed at our parliamentary meetings ever since your health prevented you from continuing your participation. I'll never forget the laughs we shared when our paths crossed in the coffee shop at Fitzgerald's in Reno. Who says parliamentarians can't have fun? Go with God, Dave

P.S. I just discovered that Wanda and I were born on the same day, same year! I wish we had made that connection earlier and could have enjoyed sharing something else together . . .

OAK Unit

January 19, 2011

When I first met Wanda in 2008, she was Vice President of the Omega Alpha Kappa Unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians. Since then she became acting President and when I was elected President in 2009, she graciously agreed to serve as Treasurer for me. We shared a hotel room at the National Convention in South S.F. in 2009 and I was priveleged to count her as a mentor and a compassionate listener whenever I needed to vent.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and a remarkable way of sensing the heart of an issue when all conversation was muddled. I didn't know her long, but I enjoyed talking to her and sharing a laugh about the (sometimes) stuffiness of parliamentarianism.

I am grateful to have known her and will always think of her from time to time whenever being a parliamentary advisor gets me down.
