Her Life

grandchildren

July 4, 2014
My momma loved her grandchildren and never went one day without seeing them to just hug them or give them some fruit, juice, or her famous baked yeast buns n caramel rolls. I remember one Easter that we were all visiting after we all ate and she was telling the children about her days back when she was their age. And how they grew up in a log house n burned wood for heat n there was no television. She said she enjoyed playing in the river n helping her grandmother Edna with her garden. She always would give us a memorable holiday an I try to carry that tradition with my children n grandchildren. I look back n could see her beautiful face n wonder what I would do if she passed n never thought that day would come so soon at the age of 53. I tell my children of the memories that we shared over the years n will forever hold them in my heart. My momma sure could bake n loved her bean soup n her fried spuds. ♡ ya Momma

Life of Wanda Mae

March 8, 2012

Wanda Mae White Owl was born on December 2, 1944, and mother was Mariam White Owl who passed away after giving birth to her.  Wanda was raised by Sam & Edna White Owl who took care of her while growing up and later years was taken in by her Aunt Jesse White Owl Standish who gave her love for her later years of life.  Jesse's children knew Wanda as their sister and took her in as their own and cherished her as their older sister.
Wanda Mae married Benjamin Many Ribs and they had four children Lorraine, Benjamin, III, Daniel, and Sheila.  At the time of her death she had grandchildren Angel, Shawn, Lil Ben, Dunelle, Emanuel, Vincent, and Canda Lu.  Who loved their grandmother so much but will always have their memories together and will cherish them always in their hearts as well as her children.  Every holiday, birthday, and event does not go by where our mother and grandmother is not forgotten and we think of her each day and will always hold a special place in our hearts.  I love and miss you mom each day and always will now and forever.
