Daddy and Easter

December 27, 2011

One evening it was storming really bad and lightening alot. well Daddy was very daring and he went and stood at the front door looking out while holding the door. We had a pet pig named Easter. She started sqealing and acting up and then a very scary thing happened. Lightening struck the front porch and shocked him and Easter. Well daddy just spun around and flopped down on the couch with smoke coming from his head and he was in shock at what just happened. I was young at the time so instead of worrying about my dad who was practically just fried I was freaking out about the pig! LOL  It was the same time daddy had his big ol dodge truck but it was on blocks at the time. Daddy gained the nick name lightening after a few more incidents with lightening! Momma can explain more on that. I love Ya Daddy!

Big 'Ol Truck

October 8, 2011

When we were younger daddy would pile us on the back of his Big 'Ol Dodge truck and take us down dirt roads where he used to hunt and we would look for deer tracks alond the side of the road. We would stand up and try to pull leaves off of tree limbs that were hanging down low enough when they went over us. Dad would then yell out the window "sit down!" lol!!!! If we were lucky we could crawl through the sliding windows at the back and sit in daddy's lap and drive the truck. He would guide us on what side of the road to ride on and the most hilarious part about it was when we would drive we would not be paying attention to the road and dad would have to grab the wheel before we wrecked into the side of the bank lol. Then he would say "pay attention to the road don't look at everything else".  Later when It was time for me to learn how to drive he let me drive a big van with only a back window. The dang thing was so bouncy!!! I remember momma was sitting in the back of the van in a chair and I had stopped at a stop sign. I took off and momma flipped backwards in the chair and we all laughed!!! Daddy wasn't that mad at me for that..... but we continued on. I remember driving on the roads over nect to where dad fell out of the tree before the bridge fell out, even the dirt road he was on where he broke his leg. He alwasys called me lead foot. I mean I don't know why he did. It's not like I drove fast or nothing lol. Anyways I love you daddy!!!

WeeLLL... Dad was being silly the day of the town wide yard sale. He made customers laugh and made everyone happy. Lisa was especially enjoying seeing the kid in him that day. Laughed til' they cried.  He always enjoyed making his kids laugh at his stories and watch him being silly. He loved each and every one of us with all his heart.
