Things I miss about Grandad !
Grandad, when you were alive, we used to laugh at you and the stories you would repeatedly tell us but I would love to have the opportunity to hear those stories just one more time...
- The nurse came the other day and I asked her, how old do you think I am? When I told her I was 91, she couldn't believe it - she only thought I was in my 70's (with a very smug look on his face)
- The Station Club had a fantastic turn on last weekend, the best I've ever seen, knowing he hadn't been for months due to his ill-health
- The weather up here has been beautiful, better than down south - even though we knew fine well, it hadn't been that good - there was no-where quite like Bedlington Station !!
But despite these stories, we loved you so much and you were such a massive part of our lives. You and Nana were the glue that held the family together and I just wanted me and Chris to be like you two.
After you left us, I missed the sticky chair with jam on it, crumbs on the floor under your armchair and all the things you used to leave lying around.
Hopefully you are in a happy place and looking down on us. If you are, you will know that you are sorely missed and still a big part of our lives!!
Love you always xxxxx
