"Wow! What a surprise. I am not shocked by the all the comments about the lives Bill touched. He touched mine....he was my first Best Friend". That smile has never changed from 45 years ago."
"Dear Bill, I haven't seen you since 1984 but you will always be remembered in my heart and all that knew you as a very special person...so much fun to be around and very caring of others feelings. God bless all of your family and friends as you will always be very sadly missed!"

Tomorrow (Oct. 1) is your birthday and I wanted to wish you a happy one up in Heaven. What a great memorial for you in DuBois last weekend. I know you were there, but I have to say Brittany must have made you SO proud. She was a rock and an inspiration at the same time.
There were lots of inappropriate Billy jokes told, a lot of love shared and even some Rolling Stones music. Just the way you would have wanted it.
Love, your brother
"Here's a video tribute to Bill. Rest in peace...
Sorry! Here's a new link that works - in case you tried the old one that didn't. Happy Birthday Bill, wish we could celebrate, but as Mike said we all celebrated you in DuBois - miss you lots...Love you always, Cathy

"My brother has touched the lives of so many people, making them laugh and reaching out to make a bad day brighter. He is missed very much each day. His family and friends are invited to Morningside Cemetary in DuBois, PA on September 26th, 2014 at 10am to celebrate his life in a memorial ceremony. Bill's ashes will be buried next to our father, William A. Carlisle, Jr. and grandparents, "Al" and Josephine Carlisle. May he rest in peace and forever stay in our lives, thoughts and prayers."

"not a day goes by that i dont think about you dad. you were my best friend now you are my guardian angel. there are so many things i want to say to you but didnt get the chance... someone asked me the other day what i would say o you if you walked through the door and my mind suddenly went blank and all i could do is cry and say hug you... i never knew how to prepare for this i never wanted to think of a day without you but i learn everyday that i am just like my dad and you live on through me!!! LONG LIVE MY HERO.... MY DADDY!!! Luke and Tryston would have loved you too. now its my turn to try to amount to the amazing parent that you were to me!! i love you daddy!"
"I am just numb! I just learned from a comment on facebook (that really sux) that one of the most amazing friends I have ever had passed away I believe on May 13 from a massive heart attack! His name is (William) "Billy" Carlisle. He lived in Moses Lake back in the day, you might have known him from Samaritan Hospital, he was the very best day surgery nurse they have ever had! To know Bill was to love him, he was the most kindest, personal, hilarious, sensitive big teddy bear I have ever known, and when he was down it would break my heart to see how anyone could ever rain on his parade and be ok with that. You might not recognize him in this picture, he was a very big guy! When he moved to Florida, he got a job in a ritzy hospital, in an elite area, lost a great deal of weight, bought a Harley and always had exciting stories to tell when we would talk on the phone.
Bill leaves behind the number one love of his life, his daughter Brittney. I have never seen a father so proud of child like he was. Brittney was his whole world! I just can't imagine them apart. So, I'll dry it up and bid my friend goodbye until we meet again. Life here on earth will never have another Bill, Heaven, you are gaining the very best.
Rest in Peace my friend . . . only the good die young — feeling sad at Moses Lake."
"Billy -- I can't believe that it has been a week since the angels came and carried you away to be with your adoring Dad -- He has been waiting for you with open arms and his big smile -- I miss you so terribly but am consoled by the fact that my "two Billys" are together and watching over all of us who are grieving - you will live forever and ever in my heart and I will never forget your infectious laugh -- I keep waiting for the door to come bursting open and hear you yell " Hey Big Mama - watcha doin " Love you forever - till we meet again "Big Mama""
"Billy, what a life force you were. A truly generous and good soul. Thanks for being my brother and for bringing so much laughter and happiness into our joined families. We'll miss you buddy and will remember you every time we look into Brittany's face. -- Love Mike"
"Cant believe that you're gone. I will miss our talks, your funny jokes, and your big bear hugs. You were always like walking sunshine always bringing smiles where ever you went. 14 years of memories Billy Bob! Until we meet again my friend, I will always love and miss you!"
"So very sorry to learn of the loss of Billy. I remember him as a little boy -who then became a wonderful, kind, and caring man. He would call me on my birthday and tease me about being his teacher. His whole family was always so very special to the Noble family. Though he is gone from us and from our world, I know there was a wonderful reunion in heaven with his father-who adored him. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with Patty, Cathy, Brittney, and his entire family. With love and prayers from Allison Noble"
"Billy - you will be missed by so many, including me. You always gave the biggest bear hugs whenever you came to Flourtown to visit. You had such an awesome love of life and the people in it! Behave up there!! With lots of love, your cousin Deb"
"Bill, Such a great Man! I will remember you forever! Such a big heart and awesome personality! Always made my day to see him and hear one of his many stories. My favorite, is when he told other people about our experience of Delaney's birth. He was the only one In there with me for a while. He never said it but I know he was just as nervous as I was. MAN he could tell a good story!! BRRH will not be the same without him. :( I feel truly lucky to have known him and to have called him a friend... Love and miss you Bill. Xoxoxo"
"Billiam.... I will think of you often and thank God that he placed you in my life. You have touched my heart. You taught me how to be calm, cool, and collected under high pressure/stress situations. You ALWAYS spoke extremely highly of my mom. You helped her in her times of need. You have ALWAYS been there for us! You always knew how to pick my spirits up and make me laugh.... Well you could make me laugh so hard I cried! Reading your FB wall it seems as though you have touched so many lives! I'm not surprised at all! You are an amazing soul!!! I know I'll see you again someday, and you'll be there with a great big bear hug!! Love you Billiam!!!! xoxo's"
"Oh Bill what can I say? You knew everyone and you were known by everyone. You had such a zest for life and such a great sense of humour, which always made me laugh. The first year and a half I worked nights with you we had such fun, and I can remember nome of the zany things you did..... Like riding down the hallway on a baby warmer. I also remember the crazy things you said like" I have no idea what you just said but I know it must be interesting because you are British!" You were also my American tutor...teaching me so much about the country...like the meaning of SOL!!!! Thank you all of the good times Bill. You are a part of my history and my life and I will miss you. XXX"
