Sharing with YOU "Precious Memories of Bill!"

February 20, 2018

Our thoughts and Prayers are with
Patty and Family as they remember Bill:
husband, father, and grandfather.
Our prayer is:
"Lord put Your Loving Arms
around them and hold them close
to YOU! And surround them with Your
Love and Grace!"

We, too, join in remembering Bill
as a wonderful, gracious man and friend!

Dan's thought:
"I miss the silent "Man"
lost in thought
He never revealed!"

God Bless!

Goodbye to our good friend, Bill

March 1, 2016

We met Bill and Patti at a Christmas party in a home across the street from Lizzie's in 1985.  We connected immediately, and soon became their "Inn Sitters" for when they wanted a break, It did not take long for us to became good friends.

Whether doing projects around Lizzie's, making scones or prescribing glasses, Bill was able to do anything.  What fun times we had in Port Townsend with Bill and Patti.  He will be greatly missed.

We send love and hugs to the whole family.

1998 Reunion

February 29, 2016

My favorite memory of Bill and his family was our 1998 reunion at Lizzies.

Bill wanted to have pictures of our three families.  Had to have lots of people in the picture.  Bill chose Remoir's "Luncheon of the Boating Party"  It has 14 characters in it.  Each family was dressed and placed just so for the picture.

Our grand children were older and were given the foreground roles.  (That's what I get for being the older sibling).  Me, my husband and our children were in the background.   Bill and Kurt wearing their famous top hats were the extra characters.

Bill always had such wonderful ideas.  And Patti fed us scrumptious meals.

It was great fun, and I will have pictures at the Memorial - paper pictures, not electronic ones.

Nicknames

February 29, 2016

While we were living in Rome in the early '90s, Bill and Patti and Kurt and Sharon came and visited us. We had a wonderful time, and shared many of our experiences living in Italy. One of the things we laughed about was how hard it was for Italians to pronounce my last name: the 'H' is silent in Italian, and the Italian alphabet doesn't include a 'y'. So people would pronounce my name as 'eeg'.

Next day, we're driving out to see the sights, and out of the blue Bill asks 'do you play the saxophone?' Huh? what? "Well, if the only letter in your last name is a 'G', you must be Kenny G". We all came close to hurting ourselves laughing so hard. Only Bill could come up with something so clever.

Fast forward 20 years. Same foursome is visiting Charleston, South Carolina, and Lana and I get to share some time with them. Day 2: "Have you learned to play the saxophone?"

I very much look forward to seeing Bill again, and sharing laughs forever.
