Mrs. Bea

Willie “Bea” Johnson (Stanley)~ was born on December 17, 1950 in Chicago, IL to the parents  of Andrew and Georgia Lee Diggins (who preceded her in death).  She was the tenth child to this union. Known to her family as Bea, she grew up on the west side of Chicago where she attended Harrison high school.  In April 1968 Bea married Sammy Stanley, to this union 5 children were born; 3 girls and 2 boys.  In 2003 Bea moved back to Minnesota where she resided until her untimely departure. In 2009 she met and married James Johnson.   She became a Christian at Worldwide Outreach for Christ Ministry.   She always gave God the praise singing her favorite song “shout”.  Bea worked at Technical Resin Packaging for six years where she met a lot of friends.  She was a very hard, compassionate and dedicated worker. Bea was known as a funny, feisty and loveable person who was extremely organized and will forever be missed.  Willie leaves to mourn 5 children; Melody Rocco (Joseph) of MN, Sammy Stanley Jr. of WI, Gwendolyn Green (Walter) of IL, Caneshia Widstrom (Tory) of MN, Courtney Stanley, 2 Stepdaughters Sandra Strickland (Marcellus) & Lawanda Stanley and 7 sisters; Jennell Grahams, Erma Doss, Rose Mary Jones, Emma Williams (Ben) of Il, Helen Wortham (Robert), Jean Henderson, Teresa Hill (Irving) of MN, 1 brother Maurice Diggins (Ruthie) of IL and 2 aunts Clemetine and Calduria of Il, and 38 grandchildren and 14 great grandkids, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends and a special friend Cora.
