The son of the late Emanuel and Queen Esther Benton Solomon, Mr. Solomon was born in Bristol, FL. He was a United States Army Veteran who retired following 30 years of service to his country. He also served as a Facility Specialist with the Enrichment Services Program. He was a member of Philippians Church of God In Christ where he former Chairman of the Deacon's Ministry and Finance Committee. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Nellie, Samuel, Sandra and Carol. 


Survivors include: his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Roseanna D. Solomon; three children, Charles (Celeste), Cosandral (Cornell), Gloria (Lloyd) and 1st Lady Teresa (Pastor Gary); seven grandchildren, Christopher, Derrick (Kimberly), Dr. Christie (Mario), Chacosglo (Cecil), Tiffany (John), Gary, Jr. (Miecha) and Evanna; his siblings, Jerry (Eutha), Gary, Sylvia, Wanda (Fitzroy), Kelvin, Karen, Kimberly and John; his grandmother, Mrs. Sallie Benton; three aunts, Pastor Rosetta Baker and Betty J. Beckwith and Ann Beckwith; an uncle, loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, relatives and friends.
