Willis J. Ray, 81, a longtime resident of Durham passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at his home.
A native of Wake County the son of the late Joseph Carlton and Katie Rigsbee Ray. He was a member of New Light Baptist Church and retired from American Tobacco Company.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 27th, 2014 in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor, North Carolina.
Surviving are his wife Bobbie Estes Ray of sixty-three years of the home, one daughter Kelley Ray Russell (Ronald) of Rougemont, three sons; Dennis Ray (Brenda), Ricky Ray (Debbie) and Randy Ray (Tammy) all of Durham, two sisters; Beatrice Riggsbee and Martha Rigsbee both of Durham, a brother, Joe Ray of Durham, three granddaughters, three grandsons, one great- granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
Flowers are accepted.
Visitation will be held Wednesday Evening, February 26, 2014 from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times the home.
