Winfield was born in Bermuda on July 9, 1956,  the only son of Maude Allen Davis and the late Leonard E. Davis,  and he died of prostate cancer on May 27,  2013.  He leaves behind to mourn his passing and cherish his memory,  Brenda,  his mother Maude,  sons Ryan,  Anthony and Miles, and sisters Esterley Patterson, Elma Vaughn and Dawnette Maynard-Bean. 


Winfield was educated in Bermuda and Ohio,  was in the military in the Bermuda Regiment,  and was a proud member of the military band.  His career was in the Hotel Industry management,  and he and Brenda owned a travel agency in Bradenton, but music was always his passion and he gave up the hotel and travel business to focus solely on his music career,  having numerous number one songs on internet radio to his credit,  and a fan base around the world.  His music can be found on iTunes and Amazon.
