Bad drivers

February 17, 2011

No matter who the driver was that cut her off, it was always a "F@ckin' Rican'".

Used to crack me up! I also loved her sarcasm, I am SURE that is who I got it from and dang proud of it!

Midnight Christmas

February 17, 2011

For as long as I can remember, our family celebrated Christmas around midnight on Christmas Eve. As children, we were told that we had to wait for Grandma to  end her shift at Far East Restaurant (Chicago). We would wait anxiously. A pile of grandchildren were asked to wait until midnight. We did and it was special. Turns out, Grandma's shift ended earlier and she was attending Far East's Christmas Party. She may or may not have had a few Singapore Slings or Mai Tais before she came home, but we didn't know it. We just loved that she was there and we were opening some presents.
