Jean and I are in Taipei. We went to a Buddhist temple to burn some incense and pay respect to you over there. We are going to Yangtze river cruise early next month. May you rest in peace.
We will meet some classmates here. They are friends over half a century.

我來到這裏將近一年，有幸能和慧玲相處融洽互相扶持照顧，在一起打太極拳散步，現在慧玲肩膀開刀後已經完全康復，恢復正常生活。我會繼續努力幫助慧玲多運動保持身心愉快健康快樂平安喜樂，請你放心安息在天國，不要為我們操心。希望你在天之靈賜福給我們，保佑大家身體健康生活順利。

我在台大畢業後和源寧一起到鳳山陸軍軍官學校參加預備軍官訓練班入伍教育，我們都被分配在第六隊受訓，在這裡待了三個多月生活。每天出操上课，我們從初中同學變成戰友。後來我奉派到駐紐約總領事館服務，我們又再度相聚在一起歡聚話家常。最後一次到華府共進午餐笑談往事，不料竟成永訣。從此以後天人永隔。往事歷歷在目，只堪回憶。

Dr. Liu was giving a speech to a large technical meeting and he came to me and asked what the ADA program stood for. I told him it stood for "Advanced Deployable Array". In his speech he said it was The Advanced Deplorable Array and that brought on a great deal of laughter by the attendees. Dr. Liu did not understand what was so funny but his misspeaking accurately reflected the fact that said program was indeed deplorable.
This past week, I've reflected a lot on my many memories of Uncle, and almost all of them involve Uncle always smiling or laughing. He had an infectious laugh that I will aways remember. He was always the easy going, happy go lucky, laid back uncle that just went with the flow...except for that time when Steve came home with an earring....
