Zelma J. Henderson, 97, of Sarasota, FL, and formerly from Columbus Grove, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, in Sarasota, FL, at the Magnolia Health and Rehab Center.
Born June 21, 1916, in Pandora, she was the daughter of David and Pauline (Miller) Steiner. On Dec. 31, 1941, she married Robert P. Henderson, who died March 17, 2008.
She worked as a sales clerk with the former Gregg's Department Store, Lima, Ohio. She had been a member of the Methodist Church, and her special interests included many crafts and other activities while she was a resident of the Magnolia Health and Rehab Center.
Surviving is her son: David Russell Henderson, of Lima; a sister: Ruth A. Weimert, of North Port, FL; a sister-in-law: Betsy Steiner, of Pandora; and two classmates, with whom she stayed in touch: Agnes Hoffman, of Columbus Grove,Oh. and Alice Bucher, of Ada,Oh.
Pastor Deb Smelser will conduct graveside services at noon on Tuesday at Truro Cemetery, west of Columbus Grove, on state Route 12.
