Still Loving You ALWAYS

October 9, 2016

Loving you and Daddy Richard is still ALIVE for me because you parented and raised such great people... My sisters and brothers and their families. I get to enjoy each of them because of you two. Thank you for RAISING LOVE THAT ENDURES FOR MY "FOREVER".

I'll be loving YOU BOTH. ALWAYS.

Remembering MUH

September 12, 2016

Muh lived to be very proud of her oldest son she called "Brother", sometime "Duddy" She was a woman who didn't scare easily nor did she have much patience for those who did.  She was determined that her only son would not grow up weak and irresponsible.  She would punish severely when I got caught doing bad deeds, which was often. For her strength, power, and pure guts, I will be forever grateful. Her teachings, by example have saved my life.  I still keep in my heart today her voice on rainy days as she read the exciting pages of "Sinbad the Sailor". My music appreciation for the piano of Art Blakey, Ahmad Jamal and the prose of Longellow made me an early intellectual which few kids in the 50s could appreciate.  Boy, was she funny.  I still laugh at some of her made up stories.  Few kids had a mom like me.  I truly loved her and I am glad that she knew it.

Alex.

I Remember Muh on her Birthday!

January 1, 2016

Happy Birthday Muh!  Yes, today you are 95.  Are you still as sassy as you always were.  I believe you are really living the life right now, still singing with all those other wonderful voices.  Well, I still miss you and think of you so often.  Thank you for the years of talking and for all your wisdom.  I am doing well, and so are Jewell and Jerry.  Yes, Leon and I are still loving each other.  I know you and Jevon have visited with each other.  You have probably taught him to sing by now.  Say "Love" to Daddy Richard for me.  Love always, Reen

My Muh

February 11, 2015

I think of Muh often when I am on my way to work, preparing to study a song to sing in church, contemplating life decisions; consequences.  Muh has a significant impact on the way I view life.  I find myself sounding like Muh.  I find me acting like Muh would in certain instances, talking like she would, helping others in a way she would; seeing her face in mine when I comb my hair in a style that resembles the way she did hers.  I quote her and am surprised when I hear her verbage coming out of my mouth.  I do believe sometimes I have become "Muh".  Then I laugh out loud and say "I hear you Muh".  We all knew this Lady and there was a lot of good, strong knowledge and counsel there that I am as yet still discovering.  I know my brothers and sisters are doing this too.

I say "Thank You" Mother.  You are "all that" and so much more.  I am honored to be your child.  All of us are honored and so grateful to be yours.  We will forever be yours.  We will forever remember you.  We will never forget.  You are engrained in our minds and hearts.  Thank you Father God for favoring us kids with such a wonderful example of what a "mother" should be.

You favored us when you gave us "Muh".   Love, Ping

THANK GOD FOR MUH

January 24, 2015

MUH...I was just thinking about Muh and the confidence she walked in, and taught us to do also.  Her confidence was ruled by her faith in God. When she had a challenge, or a goal to reach she would JUST DO IT.  She use to tell me "When you don't know the song that you're expected to play,or the instrument you're expected to work with, WALK UP THERE ANYWAY AND JUST DO IT".

Thank you Muh for that.  Things come my way NOW, and I JUST WALK UP TO IT AND DO IT.

We thank God for a Mother like you.

Muh

January 23, 2015

My mother (Zuradia Spencer Worrell) took her job as a mother very seriously.  She said what she meant and meant what she said.  She was a woman of much wisdom, both academically, spiritually, and humanely.  She was gifted in word, deed, and song.  She was also blessed with physical beauty.  Yes, she ruled her family with toughness, but she believed her children would understand one day that her toughness was administered in the name of love and would be appreciated as her way of training her children in the way they should go so they would not depart from it.  She was so right.  She birthed 13 beautiful children in this world who would become educated, self-sufficient, loving, and God fearing individuals.  We thank you, Mother.

Oh how we miss you--all the talking, all the laughter, story telling, and yes, the singing.  You and Daddy Richard taught us what family is all about and we wll always remember you for that.

You and Daddy Richard earned your sweet rest in Jesus.  Your eleven remaining children are doing well.

Love
