Abby Cox Ray, 30, a lifetime resident of Creedmoor passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
A native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Martha Hutchinson Cox. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a Project Manager of Joyner Masonry in Greenville.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Dr. Mitch Simpson. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held prior to the Memorial Service Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 10:00 – 11:00 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
Surviving are her her son, Jaxon Lee Ray of Creedmoor, her father, Joseph B. Cox ( Cindy) of Creedmoor, a brother, Joey Cox of Durham, an aunt, Kathy Kinard and husband David of Charleston, S.C., an uncle, William Lee Cox of Myrtle Beach, S.C..
The Family wishes to express their special thanks to Billie Jo Weaver, her best friend that never left her side.

I only met Abby within the last year, but have known her much longer. I have known her through Billie Jo, the angel to many. Abby has been a blessing to me, so cheerful and full of life, how can I complain about anything......Abby, I love you.
