Abby Laraine "Abby" Robbins, 7, went to live with her grandmother, Janice Robbins, after her father was killed in Iraq. But the grandmother was distraught over her son's death, and, 7 years later, was still struggling with depression. One day she decided she couldn't take it any longer and that she was going to kill herself and her granddaughter. She stabbed Abby in the chest, and then set the house on fire, killing them both. She left behind a suicide note saying that she "couldn't stand to see Abby left behind" and "pray for my soul".
