His Life

Gone too soon!!!

April 30, 2012

He was born Abiola Obasanya Onasanya to Mr. Bola Onasanya and Mrs. Seye Falomo-Onasanya. The youngest of the two children born to his parents, Biola loved his only Brother (Femi) to pieces, and looked up to him.

He also loved and served the Lord till he was called home – touching many lives. He was both beautiful on the outside and, more importantly, on the inside. Being a ‘great thinker’, Biola always had a quiet, shy disposition. He loved computers, and was actually enrolled in Clayton State University, Georgia where he planned to get a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, and eventually proceed to the Master’s program.

This coming October 6th, Biola, you would have been 31!  How we long to have you here with us! We miss you so much - you are always in our thoughts. But, we take solace in the fact that you are in the good hands and care of our Heavenly Father who loves you much more than any of us.

He was taken from us on April 30, 2002 by a vicious ‘Asthma Attack’ when he decided he would no longer fight the ailment  (as he had done all his life), but surrender his spirit to his maker.

He has since lived in Heaven where there is no sickness, disease or sorrow. For a minute, it did look like death won, and his sudden, early departure created a big vacuum in our hearts. However, we are assured by our ‘Father in Heaven’ that “to be absent from the body (when we exit this ‘sin-ridden earth’) is to be present with Him. We do know therefore that when Biola left this earth 10 years ago, he conquered death and became victorious…having received ‘eternal life’ through Christ Jesus. We give God all the glory for his life, and most especially for the opportunity to have had him for 20 1/2 years.

He was interred at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 2284 Candler Road, Decatur, Georgia on May 3rd, 2002.

[1 Corinthians 15: 51-55]  “Our assurance that Abiola was more than a Conqueror”

“ Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then, shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

55 “O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?”

We love you and miss you dearly Biola. You will live on in our hearts and memories forever…we will never forget you!!!
