Oh! My Mother-in-law
I praised God the day I first met you in Ibadan, I had come to visit Abiodun (my wife now) in the early 2003 from Abuja. I greeted you, you welcomed me like you had known me before the time of visit and you made me feel at home. We spoke at length, traversing into different topical issues of life, I guess you did that in a bid to assess me and according to Abbey, she quoted you as saying that:” if that boy that came is proposing to you, please accept his proposal as he is going to make a good husband”. And to God be the glory we are 17 years counting.
I would say that the chemistry was natural and real and we connected well like a mother to a son. I am known to say things the way they are. Mama, you were a good woman, a good Christian, always displaying the virtues of a focused and heavenly bound Christian.
A true mother who was appreciative of everything however little others may see it.
We enjoyed your presence each time we had to come together with grandpa. I remember with nostalgia my last conversation with you when you celebrated your 77th birthday October 3, 2020 about 19 days to your transition and Tamilore, your grandson asked “how old are you Grandma”? And I answered by saying: Tamilore Grandma is 70 years older than you and we all laughed.
Thank you ma for the life of sacrifice, always encouraging us to be good Christians with focus on heaven.

I met Mummy when I was in secondary school, I went to see my friend Omolara, Mummy was very kind to me. All the time I was there, I’d never seen her angry, she was friendly irrespective of our age difference, mummy will relate like your friend. Always smiling, Always admonishing us but never forceful. I saw grace in her, an amiable person to the core. Very soft yet firm. Very caring and beautiful. I saw my friend Omolara a lot in her same with all her siblings. Such good people. She was a rare gem. Continue to rest on Mummy.
