I thank God for the life of my Big Sister (Olori Ebi).

Her departure was a shock when we heard, but Heaven was not caught unawares when she arrived at the pearly gates. Certainly, the angels that beckoned and ushered her were ready.

“What is man!” Is one of my favourite phrases in the Bible. Her sudden passing, truly highlights the flippancy of life and the ease of transition from here into the next life.

This is bittersweet. Though we are shocked at her sudden departure we are delighted to hear the numerous testimonies from the many lives she impacted. She did not live/die in vain. She made a mark and her footprints will remain in the sands of life.

Like Olatilewa said at the testimony night, it’s not how long but how well.

So, we celebrate the life Sister Bose lived and the testimony of how she poured herself out for others and for the cause of God’s kingdom here on earth.

We pray and trust that our faithful God will continue to uphold and preserve our big brother, Captain Bayo and the entire family in His love and grace.

May we all see Jesus, when our moment comes.

Hmmm, this was really hard penning down but I just had to summon courage, Tosin and I have been friends since university days and when I met Mum for the first time she was very warm and receptive towards me, she was my mum as well and it really hits hard and bad, knowing she is no more.. I remember her 50th birthday just like yesterday, and other celebrations in the family that I partook of and all I can say is that mummy was a very good woman that loved her kids and everyone she knew.. when Tosin informed me, my heart literally stopped beating for a moment ‘cos I was in shock that my husband had to hold me.. It is well and I am very happy she is in a better place now.. she was a lover of God for sure . May God give everyone in the family the fortitude to bear this loss, Especially Tosin. Rest on sweet Mum

It was almost impossible for me to write this. How can I possibly describe my great Aunty in absolutely plain old and short words of tributes .I just have to summon courage to put something down.

My dear Aunty,
We met over 25years ago when you were transferred to my Division in CFAO (Electro-Hall) as AGM In charge of Administration & Personnel .Since then you have adopted me as your son and brother. You became my role model , my teacher,my confidant,my mother and indeed my overall life adviser.

I will never forget how you use your official position to protect me from several “missiles “ from within our organization.I can go on and on to recount how you moulded my career tremendously during our working years .

One of the great lesson I learnt from you was how the take good care of my family and not to break marital vow ,family values & ethics .It was your attitude of “Kazeem I will not not give up on your case “ that made my family still standing like the ancient rock up till today.Your love for your children and husband was unparalleled and you imbibed this in me over the years.

I cannot remember the number of staffs that I brought to our organization through you .You are forever ready to help the weak and the downtrodden.Because of your beautiful heart your influence in our company CFAO was colossal.Your motto as a corporate guru was “ love for all and hatred for none “

I witnessed, and I was extremely marveled at your generosity and extreme love for your siblings and extended family members. You made yourself the rallying point of all your family members. You can go to any length to satisfy them individually and collectively.

The best lesson I learnt from you was spirituality. In spite of our difference in religion you made me to see that God Almighty should be considered first in all our endeavors.Your entire life was devoted to prayer and love of God .

Your demise at this time is so painful to me personally but my only consolation is that you left in active service in the vineyard of the Lord Almighty

Rest In Peace ,Peace & Peace  my dear Aunty !!! Good night!!

Tribute to Pastor Mrs Abosede Sanyaolu
My dear Abosede, if I was told you will depart this earth before me, I will say it is not possible!
My prayer has always been that you will outlive me.
Your death has come to me as a rude shock, your mum and I were childhood friends, my best friend at that until she bid us a cruel farewell over 35 years now!
Ever since, I have taken yourself and your younger ones as mine and we were all very close.
You were such a caring and selfless being, you were a source of succour to me at a very difficult time in my life almost 45 years ago, I lost my job then, but you ensured I got another job that put food on our table and gave me financial stability, thank you so much for this extraordinary kind gesture, for if you had not risen for my help then, life would have been a disaster!
Thank you so much for allowing God to use you to bring smile to my face and that of my children as a result, I can never forget this and I will continue to cherish and appreciate you all my days on earth, which I have always done while you were here with us. You were one in a million!
May your children never lack destiny helpers in Jesus name, amen.
Since the demise of your mum, you became a mother to your siblings, ensured that their needs were met, you were so selfless and you sacrificially stabilised them all, they will sorely miss you.
You exemplified true Christian virtues, you faced many battles of life and you conquered, a true soldier of Christ indeed, you laboured so hard, but now when you are supposed to be enjoying all your hard work, death struck, life is indeed unfair.
Our loss is heaven’s gain, God knows beyond what we do not, we are comforted by the fact that you slept in Christ and you will rise again. Sleep on my beloved, till we meet to part no more.
I pray that the Lord keep your children in the faith, so they will continue the good work you were doing and meet with you on the resurrection day.
May God’s peace abide with them, with Bayo, your husband, your sisters and your church flock that you have left behind and may the Holy Spirit comfort and strengthen us all in Jesus’ name, amen.

You were incredible, an amazing enigma. You set standards of generosity and relationship yet to be parralleled in our scope of human knowledge. You were an embodiment of industry in all your endeavors. Your cheerful moments were hilarious many times boisterous and it actually endeared many people to you.
You epitomized true love without boundaries. Your commitment to ecclesiastical matters was awesome.....Adieu! May God's richest comfort find a fulfilling expression in the lives of the kith and kin you left behind in Jesus Name. Rev. Dr. & Rev. Mrs. Ayo & Lois AYO-JIMOH.

Sometimes to write a tribute about a loved one like this is very hard. Knowing and having a relationship with you Mummy is one of my greatest privileges. Surulere BC has a way of uniting us like that.
You were nice and kind, always ready to listen and give Godly advice and counsel, a goal getter who know what she wants and stands for the truth and stands for God. Just as if you knew your home call was around the corner, you gave assignments and was future looking.
Aunty, you were a woman of purpose, you lived a selfless life, a life that draws people to you and to Christ.
You touched each life that God brought your way in a special way peculiar to you. Your service to God and His Church was pure and sacrificial.
You lived and left such a high example for we younger ones to follow.
Knowing you and relating with you has been such a blessing to me. I will always cherish your love and devotion. How can I ever forget?
Your were always gentle to listen, slow to speak and ever ready to give Godly counsel.
Some things are just hard to understand. I thank God for a life well spent serving God and humanity.
Even till death you were a great organizer. Sleep on Great Soldier.
No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me,
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny,
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His Hand,
Till He returns, or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I stand.

O' Lord, the Creator, You gave us Rev Mrs Abosede Sanyaolu to make an impact, a positive impact and to touch many lives whom she has come across....... and when it was time for You to take her back, you took her with honor, with glory and with service in the way of the Lord. We abide by Your wish with pains though, for you have written that no Soul shall be here on earth forever. O' Lord grant her eternal rest and grant the family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss of a mother and a wife like no other.

                        FAREWELL TO BOSE

It is hard to say farewell to someone you have known for over four decades. We were classmates in St Anne's School, Ibadan (1967/71/73 set). But what can I say, because you sprang this surprise by your sudden departure. I wondered why it had to be this way. It was like a thunderbolt. I then said to myself, so Bose is gone and gone for ever! This thought of never seeing you again brought tears to my eyes. I had to quickly wipe my tears, when I realized that God was here to take you home and that I should never question what He has planned. Sometimes, it is not meant for us to understand. So, as all of us your classmates mourn your loss, we have to keep telling ourselves that we will all meet again. Though you are away physically, there are no goodbyes, as wherever you'll be, you'll always be in our hearts.
I know you are in a better place. Death may have taken you away, but it will never take away your memories. However, on the day you will be laid to rest, what will be on my mind is that "God only takes the best".

So:
Adieu, one last goodnite,
The end of all delight,
For you must go away.

Bose, Rest in Peace,

Aunty, Your passing on, was too shocking. Very unbelievable until visiting your home to confirm . However, our consolation hangs on the impactful life you lived with those privileged to interact with you. This is very fulfilling. Your decision to study/train to serve God exclusively after retirement from work was exemplary. To write this tribute this early is not an easy pill to swallow . It hurts . You lived well. Rest well in the bosom of our Lord. Good night till we meet again.

Writing this brings so much tears as no one is going to be calling me Taiyelolu. Big mum like we always referred you! You left a remarkable legacy for me. Sweet memories fill me anytime I remember how you impacted positivity in my education and forever cherished. I learnt the act of responsibility/ giving to parents and family from you.It is unbelievable that I won’t see you anymore and I do wonder if I will ever find anyone to take your place.Big mum,you left a hollow no one can ever fill halfway. If death were stoppable big mum I would have kept it from coming your way because you are so sweet .Am going to miss every moment of your prayers for me and my family.I am going to tell my children and grandchildren about how kind hearted you are.Big Mum continue to rest in the bosom of the giver and taker of life.
May 16, 2021
Glory be to God for the gift of you to the world. You lived your life to love God and man. You opened your life and house to many. You cared so much about family and the church. You decided to answer God’s call to ministry after your retirement from your secular job.... mummy, you lived well. You were exemplary. You were a giver. You cared more for those who couldn’t pay you back.
The last time I called you, you said to me “ Akanke, please pray for me that God will show me what’s next in His plan for me” . Now we know!
I know God will take care of Captain ( daddy) , your wonderful children and everyone you called son and daughter, your sisters and the entire family that you so much loved.
I know you will love your new home where you will live to sing the praise of your Lord and Saviour eternally. We will miss you here, but we know there is the resurrection morning. Till then, rest well Abosede Oluwayemisi Sanyaolu.

I find it difficult to believe I’m writing this tribute. The transition was so swift.
We may not be prepared for it but heaven has received an angel.
I thank God for your life, lived to serve God and impact lives in His kingdom.
Your family is an indication of God’s goodness and kindness to you.
Sleep on beloved in the blossom of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ till the resurrection morning. You deserve the rest.
I pray for divine strength for Bayo, your children and the rest of the family.
Bose, you shall surely be missed.
May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

In the days, months and years spent with mum, you will all agree that our Mum was godly, wise and ever fun to be with. I recall whenever i'm down, she would always notice and
call me by my fond name 'Bukola ki lo se e' we would talk it out she would tell me not to worry about it and it will be sorted out!
Little did I know that April 6th this year(My birthday) would be the last time I will see her.It was series of prayers on video call. Jokinly she says 'My small husband don't forget to send my monthly money lol;
My second best Mum, homemaker and confidant.
Mum you will remain special in the hearts of all your children&grand- children. We love you dearly! Continue to rest at the bosssom of the lord Jesus Christ.

May the Almighty God guide your path home (amen).
Your have definitely lived an exemplary life, a paragon of virtue you were. I drew my conclusion from the ethical behaviour, firmness, leadership qualities and supportive nature of your daughter (Tilewa Akinradewo). It takes more than a goldmine to raise/nurture a child with such amazing personality.
May God grant everyone connected to you directly and indirectly the fortitude to bear this transition.
Rest on mummy!!!

We celebrate all of your impact which are visible in lives particularly in the lives of your children. I feel so privileged to have served you breakfast on the occasion of dad's 70th birthday.
Mum: Serve me food oo
Me: How many pieces of yam do you care for
Mum: Hmmm..I am watching my weight..two is okay

I then served my friend's mum as ordered.

Mum: Chidinma Ose, thanks.

After a while.....

Mum: I want more ooo
Me: I thought you are watching your weight ‍♂️
Mum: Please ooo, it's my hubby's birthday...

This conversation was the last and I hold it so dear to my heart. If service was all that was required to have you live for us.....your legacy lives on.

Your family miss you...we all do..it was sudden..we take solace in God's comfort.

TRIBUTE TO MY JEWEL OF INESTIMABLE VALUE.
Amazing Mum (Sweet Mother) you have indeed left a very huge void here on earth. Mum you will never be forgotten and your death is one that shocked me to my bone marrows because Mrs Abosede Oluyemisi Aya Sanyaolu , omo Abodunrin you are an example of a virtuous woman, oh how you loved your God, the only consolation that you are indeed with your maker as Heaven has indeed gained an Angel.
