Potsdam- Richard A LaRock, 57, died at Canton Potsdam Hospital Jul 2, 1998. Mr. LaRock served in the USA and National Guard in Malone and was a mason in construction trade and was a bartender in the Potsdam area for 20 yrs.
Born Sep 11, 1940 in Brushton, son of Abram and Marion Brown LaRock, he attended Brushton schools. He married Linda Gibson in Dec 1959 at the First Baptist Church. Mr. LaRock was a member of American Legion Post 1174 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 2397. Surviving besides his wife are four sons, Robert, Madrid; Richard and Bruce, both of Potsdam; and Allen, Sylvia Lake; two daughters, Deborah LaRock and Madonna Sue Fadden, both of Gouverneur; four brothers, Steve and Randy, both of Massena; and Tab and Terry, both of FL; two sisters, Linda Marshall, Bangor and Gloria Secore, Troy; 15 grandchildren. A half brother, Donald Brown died before him. Arrangements with Garner Funeral Home
