Adam, today would have been your 50th Birthday, but you packed way more than 50 years of learning and loving and growing into the years you had with us.

I will always remember you as one of the bright lights in the crowd; one of the people I always wished I could spend more time with. I felt energized when I was around you. You were a DOER and you were always DOING. Always something interesting, and I always learned something new about whatever it was. You were a patient teacher.

In addition to endless DOING, you were always DOING UNTO OTHERS too. I'll never forget that morning at the island when you (and all the friends you hit-up) gifted our island family with a gourmet gas grill. Thanks to your thinking beyond yourself, we all won.

Thanks for the memories!

...I didn’t hear about Adams death until early December and boy did it break my heart. My husband and I were so lucky and blessed to have Adam shoot our wedding video. I can’t believe he’s gone since it was just 6 months ago when we saw him last, because of Adam my wedding day will be a memorable one for years to come. However I can’t help but feel sadness whenever I watch the video knowing that Adam is no longer with us. Adam was very professional, kind, thoughtful, and his smile was so welcoming. I remember speaking with him in early October regarding our wedding video, I’m so grateful I got to thank him and expressed my appreciation for the work he did. Rest peacefully Adam. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Adam was the videographer when Industrial Honey went to Berlin and Prague some years ago. One of the most memorable moments of the trip was when we were eating at a cafe in Prague and we needed some attention so Adam says, "Where's the proprietor of this establishment?" We all busted up laughing because... who uses such big words?!?! He was so much fun, plus doing such beautiful work. Our hearts go out to all of his family.

Coffee and video, that's how we got to know Caf. I call him Caf, short for his online handle of @Cafn8ed because that's how we met: online. We connected with and through technology. In fact, we met him while we were doing one of our first podcasts: Technology Evangelist. Back when UStream was first getting started, Caf would join us in lively discussion for hours each day. Eventually we met in person and when we discussed having another idea for a different show, he said he was "in". We worked out the details and next thing you know Spacevidcast had it's own studio (In the back of Crow River Coffee) with Caf as our first director! He always did everything he could to assist us in any venture, even when that included going on wild field trips to retrieve and then install 8ft satellite dishes, and help lay the groundwork for what we have today. He was kind, outgoing, smart, funny and an all around great guy. He will be forever missed.

I met Adam in 1992 when I moved to Minneapolis from South Dakota after college. I'm not sure exactly how we met, but it revolved around a tight knit group of friends connected by a love for laughter and music. I had the honor of creating a design for Adam and Stephenie's wedding invitations; a knotwork tree of life, with a couple embraced in a kiss. And what a wedding it was, with live music and carriage rides! When I made my decision to relocate to Colorado in 2009, Adam and Steph graciously employed me for a month at Crow River Coffee, so there wouldn't be a gap in my resume. I loved every minute....greeted every morning with enthusiastic smiles and a hot cuppa! Over the last 8 years, I had only a few opportunities to visit , but the last time I got to hang out with Adam, he was in Colorado.  After a day at a trade show, we took a hike in the melting spring snow of White Ranch Open Space, a place full of quiet beauty and majesty.  Then we headed back down to Arvada for.....yep, a cup of coffee in a local shop.  Most recently, Adam again provided me with a reference that helped me start a new job only two weeks ago. Adam was excited for me, and we texted enthusiastically about my new opportunity.  Adam always supported me, and has been a true friend for half of my life. I am indebted to the Jochums for their kindness, and I hope that in this difficult transition, you can reach out to me, as I did to you, amazing friends.  Love to you from Colorado, where Adam's memory has indelibly lit my path going forward.

Adam was such a genuine guy. I had the opportunity and pleasure of training him when he first started at Wells Fargo. Sharp as a tact when it came to grasping the procedures. Recently I have had the pleasure of working with him on a project and we had grown pretty close. He was my go to guy and always looked to him for guidance when I got stuck on something. I am going to miss that. He was always there to help me (and others). Big heart and awesome guy. Rest now Adam...

I met Adam in 1989 at weekly Grateful Dead Nights at a dive called The Restaurant at the north end of Lake Calhoun. Jeffrey Flaws regaled us with live recordings of Dead shows played through his big audio rig and a bunch of us became family.

Adam was the fresh-faced kid with the kilowatt smile that lit up the room and made everyone feel welcome. He never lost that in the 28 years that followed as our rag-tag little family careened through time and space together. On the road to Midwest Dead shows. At weekly Space Heaters shows after Jerry passed. On an island in Wisconsin for many a magical weekend. And more recently, at Fladcasts where he put the music of our towns online so the whole world could discover it.

Adam was a prime mover at the center of it all. He was always making things happen for our family without ever short-changing his own family. He was a creative, resourceful, steadfast life partner to Stephenie and the World's Okayest Dad to Teagan.

Thank you, Adam, for shining your light on our lives. We are all better people for having known you.

You stood upon a mountain top
Walked barefoot in the snow
Gave the best you had to give
How much you'll never know

I met Adam when I worked at Crow River Coffee Co. At first, it seemed he was always hustling while Steph was holding down the fort at the store. Teagan was a wee one toolin' around. Adam and Steph were making it all work so they could try out this crazy dream. Adam was passionate and he translated his passion with Steph into making the shop a go-to for excellent coffee and food in that community and the surrounding communities. But besides his hard work, really, what I remember most is his laughter that rang through the shop when, say, he had a realization for why a fuse would keep breaking or if he finally realized that he wasn't crazy, that it was faulty wiring or something else that was keeping something from working the way he expected it to work. At one point, he set up karaoke in the back for some of us to hold a weekly karaoke night. Few came but it was a joy to sing and to get to hear *him* sing a few times. Adam would come in and chat for a minute, and I credit those chats with Adam and Steph - together and separate- that helped me consider the possibilities in life, making dreams reality, and finding love and safety among wonder and exploration.
Steph and Adam have opened their hearts and their home to me, during joyful times and as well during painful times when great healing was needed. The love and graciousness, and the wit and creativity in their souls are true blessings. Adam's commitment [through love] to his family and to his work will always be an inspiration and something to hold dear. Blessed be on your journey, Adam.

I met Adam in 2007 when we shot the final Funk Junkies gig out at Rails to Trails together. We became fast friends after that. He was a major help on many of my early film projects including helping me to produce my first feature length film "Courtship, Sex, Commitment" which has 1,000,000,000+ views on YouTube. Be he didn't stop there, Adam hired me to play acoustic shows at the coffee shop, often called me to assist him on video gigs, and he was always open to give advice on a variety of subjects. He was a beautiful peaceful soul, a kind and generous man, who loved music and worked hard to provide for his family. I am a better person for having known him. Love and peace to Stephenie, Teagan, and all of Adams family and friends.
