His Life
November 11, 2013

Adam Christopher Parker was born on September 22, 1975.  He attended Port Royal School and Saltus Grammar School.  Following GCSE “A” level examinations, he attended Sevenoaks School in Kent, U.K. and obtained the International Baccalaureate in 1994.  Moving to the University of Toronto (UofT) he successfully completed a B.A. (Cinema Studies), and in 2005 another B.A. (Hons. with Distinction Specialist in Semiotics).  In 2006 Adam was awarded a Social Science and Humanities Research Council graduate scholarship and a University of Western Ontario (U.W.O.) Graduate Research Scholarship with a Teaching fellowship in Discourse Analysis and Linguistic Pragmatics.  He obtained an M.A. in Theory and Criticism from the UWO in 2008.  In 2011 Adam earned the M.I. (Master of Information) from UofT.  At the time of his death, May 16, 2013, Adam was attending Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and had recently obtained a legal scholarship from Cox Hallett Wilkinson.

Throughout his life, Adam was deeply involved in music, first as a cellist, thanks to the Menuhin Foundation, and later as an active D.J.  Adam also loved the sea and enjoyed junior sailing at RBYC, as well as obtaining several PADI diving certifications.  He enjoyed lobster diving and spear fishing at every opportunity. Very recently in his life, Adam found a creative niche as a photographer, but perhaps his greatest love was for his cat, Mr. Meowgi.
