I had the honor of working with Adam while the both of us were at Ropes & Gray and then continuing to work with Adam after he went to Atlas Air. Frankly, I am shocked at his death, he was such a vibrant, warm and wonderful person, and so young. Adam was a terrific lawyer, and always had in mind what was best for his clients and then later Atlas Air. But most of all, he loved his wife and son, and spoke of them often.  May his memory be a blessing.

I am extremely sad that you had to leave us so soon. I thank you again for giving me the opportunity to be your Executive Assistant for 8 years. It has been a privilege. Rest in peace, Adam. My deepest condolenses to Trisha, Hayden and your entire family. We will miss you so much.

Adam, you will be missed by so many you touched. We worked together for over 15 years and you were always fair, always on point, always generous with your time and advice. You were a great leader and role model for so many and I’m proud to have had you as a client for so many years.

O how we wish we could forget
Those events which have not yet
Imposed their force, their full effect
In ways our eyes cannot detect.

This point in time it reaches far
Among the millions a shining star
Calls out: “You are too small to see
Someone today has been set free.”

Adam was a leader, a colleague, and a friend. Most importantly, Adam was a genuinely good person. I will miss him now and forever.

Trisha and Hayden, I wish you comfort now, peace soon, and warm memories forever.

My deepest sympathy to the Kokas family.
Sadly... I remember the last conversation we had on his retirement celebration and his excitement that he would have been able to spend more time with his family especially with his son. May his memory be internal.

My deepest condolences to Trish & Hayden and the entire Kokas family. I will always remember Adam smiling and laughing, he was quick witted, smart and always interesting to be around.  Adam was very good to me during the years I worked for him, I will always be grateful for the kindness and support he showed me.

The two hardest words to say in life are hello for the first time and goodbye for the last. This world's loss is heaven's gain...I will never forget you Adam and the genuine joy you brought me whenever we met. Save a space for me my friend...until we meet again. Love and prayers for peace to Trisha and Hayden during these difficult days.

Adam was a special leader and friend to so many of us at Atlas. His tremendous legacy lives on in how he treated others and cherished his family. It was such a joy to catch up with him and hear about Trisha and Hayden. He was so proud of his work family too. He will be profoundly missed. We are all better for knowing and working with Adam.

When I interviewed at Atlas over nine years ago, Adam was one of the people who I interviewed with. Despite his very senior position with the organization, Adam put me at ease, making for a very positive experience. He was one of the reasons that I took the job. My heart goes out to Adam's family. Such a sad and tragic loss.

There were many things I admired about Adam, but the top was his ability to strike up a meaningful conversation with anyone. My heart has been broken by his sudden and tragic passing. He will be missed beyond measure. Raising an IPA in his honor.
