I met Debo in 1974 when I started in form one at the International School of Ibadan. He was one year my senior and was genial, kind, gentle, generous, friendly and extremely good-natured. He was very well liked. We lost touch over the years and I heard news of him from time to time through mutual friends. I was so sorry to hear he had passed away.
May his soul Rest In Peace. Debo truly was one of the nicest people in the 73-80 set. Good natured and easygoing. May the Lord comfort his family AMEN

Uncle Debo was quite the reserved man, but always knew when to come out and address situations. He may strike one as soft, but he is a disciplinarian and above all a lover of God. He esteemed family above all and I pray that his soul continues to rest in God’s bosom. A really loving person and a hardworking man. Rest in Peace Uncle Debo.

Uncle it’s a bit hard to put into words the variety of emotions going on now.
It’s sad that you are no longer with us and I wouldn’t get to hear your peaceful and calming voice again.
May you rest in peace and may the impact you had here shine for generations

Engr. Debo,
Hmmmm!
Life with it’s unexplainable happenings!
My first meeting with Engr. Debo dates back to the late 80s when I was in search of a wife in their family. He struck me as a very gentle, easy-going, and unassuming person.
Over the years, we became more used to each other as we lived and grew our families in the same city.
He was a family man to the core, caring much for the children, and always seeking for ways to bond more intimately with them.
Oh death, where is your string?
“But thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph ......”
You will be immensely missed by all who came in contact with you in this brief but eventful life.
Adieu my brother-in- law.

'Debo

It's been a while since we spoke, only for this to occur.
I am short of words, especially having to write this.
I remember your laughter, you were gentle, caring, soft spoken and human in every sense - that is how you will always be remembered.
As humans we often take things for granted, needlessly postpone things we should do, and then this happens.

Debo, you are solely missed, and shall remain in our hearts ever so fondly.

Adieu my brother.

Rest In Peace Bro.....

Adieu bro, I'm missing you already. Ever considerate and conscientious. Never a negative thought or word. That was you. Rest In Peace.

It is still hard to believe that I have to write this tribute now. GOD knows best but I am still tempted to ask, 'WHY ?'
It is still a shock that you are gone but more difficult to accept the fact that we cannot see or speak with you and have to refer to you in past tense.
The solace I have is that Bros Dabosky as I loved to call him is in perfect peace without pain, with GOD Almighty.
Goodbye my dear brother

Words cannot be enough to express how I felt when I heard of your demise. Right from our boyhood days in Russia, we interacted so much. Even in the Railways we were like siblings. As the bible says in every situation give thanks. My family and I love you so much but God loves you more. Rest in the bossom of the Lord.

TRIBUTE TO EGBON MI ATATA

a tun sọrọ (we would talk again). Those were your last words to me the last time we spoke and sadly we would never talk again here on earth.

I can only give thanks to God for having you as a brother, a brother in every sense of the word.

You “fought" till you just couldn't fight anymore, inspite of all the pain and trauma, you fought to stay alive for all your loved ones. Typical Brother Debo, more concerned about the others than himself.

Fond memories of all that we shared growing up on Calabar Street has suddenly overwhelmed me.

I would miss you dearly.

To God be all the glory, we love and miss you dearly but God obviously loves you more. Rest! Brother Debo, rest peacefully in His bosom.
